Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Megan Delanie Busch and Eran Joseph Vautour
We're so excited to celebrate with you in the beautiful surroundings of Graeagle, CA. If you're arriving early or staying a bit longer, there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. Here's a curated list of some local favorites, organized by location, to help you make the most of your time in the area.
Lakes Basin

Lakes Basin

CA 96103

Some of the best hiking in the Sierras — all within a short drive of Graeagle. Lakes Basin Trail A scenic trail with multiple routes to choose from. You'll find alpine lakes, granite peaks, and sweeping views — whether you're in the mood for a light stroll or a longer trek. Grassy Lake Loop This peaceful loop winds through forest and meadow before landing at Grassy Lake. A great option for a mid-morning hike with lots of fresh air and wildflowers. Sardine Lakes A further drive, but a short and stunning hike that leads to the crystal-clear waters of the Sardine Lakes, framed by the dramatic Sierra Buttes. Great spot for a picnic or an easy afternoon outing.

Greenhorn Ranch

Greenhorn Ranch

2116 Greenhorn Ranch Road, Quincy, CA 95971

An easy drive from town, Greenhorn Ranch is an all-in-one outdoor playground. You don’t have to be staying at the ranch to book these activities. E-Bike Tours Explore the surrounding trails on a 1–2 hour guided e-bike ride. It’s a smooth, scenic way to cover some ground — and way more fun than a treadmill. Horseback Riding Saddle up for a trail ride through the forest. Rides are beginner-friendly and offer a peaceful, slow-paced way to enjoy the landscape. Shooting Sports Test your aim with archery or clay shooting. Whether you're a total novice or a seasoned shot, it's a fun and memorable experience.

Whitehawk Ranch Golf Club

Swanky, peaceful, and often quiet. It’s the most upscale of the courses and perfect if you want something a little more refined.

Nakoma Golf Course

Formerly known as “The Dragon,” this course is jaw-droppingly beautiful — and seriously tough. Best for experienced golfers looking for a challenge.

Plumas Pines Golf Course

Scenic, tight, and right along the river. Easy to love — and even easier now with some recent upgrades to food and drink.

Nakoma Resort
