Forest Semi-Formal: Below-the-knee dresses, an elegant pantsuit, or suit (with the option to wear a tie) are all acceptable! We do not recommend heels (a block heel would likely be okay) as there will be uneven surfaces such as grass, gravel, and woodchips. Please wear something comfortable but also dressy! The entirety of the event will be outside in the woods, however you will be close to your cabins if you are staying on site should you need to make any wardrobe adjustments.
The weather can be unpredictable, and we advise that you check the local weather while packing to ensure you bring weather-appropriate attire. Typically, during this time of year, the temperature will be a high of 72 and a low of 42. The venue will be primarily shaded.
We are so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! To keep things personal and meaningful, attendance is limited to those specifically named on your invitation. Invitations are non-transferable, and we kindly ask that only those invited attend the wedding and stay at the venue with us.
We will be providing your meal for the Welcome Dinner, Reception, and Cookout. There are many local restaurants in the area for lunch! Most cabins have a kitchen if you would prefer to make your own food as well. Every cabin does have a fridge and microwave. We also recommend that you stop in Puyallup for any groceries, necessities, or alcohol as there are many large grocery stores in the area, including a Costco. There is a local convenience store and gas station in Ashford that have groceries and supplies should you forget anything, but we would not recommend that you rely on them for any necessities as their stock can be limited.
Yes! We will be serving beer, wine, and local cider at the reception. You are welcome to purchase and consume any beverage of your choice to keep in your cabins.
The gift of your presence as we begin our life together as a married couple is precious and invaluable - so much so that we have reserved lodging for all of our guests to ensure it is not a barrier to sharing the joy of our wedding weekend in person. If you wish to make a contribution to the lodging costs for the weekend and are financially able to do so, please reach out to us for more information. If your current circumstances make this cost-prohibitive, please allow us the honor of hosting you as we celebrate love, family, and friendship in all their incarnations on Mt. Rainier. Our venue, Copper Creek Inn, provides lodging for all of our guests! You don't need to worry about booking anything once you arrive in Ashford! We've booked out the Forest Retreat, Copper Creek Lodge, Dream Weaver, Art studio, Copper Creekside, Sky, Snow, and Muir cabins. Most cabins have adjacent hot tubs, so make sure to bring a swim suit! Check them out here! https://www.coppercreekinn.com/ . If you wish to stay elsewhere, we can give you some great recommendations!
Guests will be staying in the Forest Retreat, Copper Creek Lodge, Dream Weaver, Art Studio, Copper Creekside, Sky, Snow, and Muir cabins, so some groups will have to share cabins. Cabins will be assigned based on RSVP details. If you would like to have separate lodging, that's fine! Just let us know, and we can give you some recommendations on where to look!
WiFi in the area is underserved and not stable. Don’t plan to stream movies or have video calls. It is usually fine for wifi calling and email.
We will have more information on this when we send out the invitations!
