If you're there be sure to check out Megan's favorite: Penelope the baby Pygmy Hippo! *April 8 - June 14: The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival will be happening at the Zoo! Giant lanterns in the shapes of animals and wildlife are amazing at night. Megan and Ed have gone to this on a date night and is a sight to see. Zoo in the day, lantern festival in the evening!*

The beautiful gardens and sculpture park that is a lovely place to take a peaceful stroll to see some gorgeous plants and interesting sculptures. This is one of the places Megan and Ed talked and walked to get to know each other early in the relationship. There is a story behind that date so be sure to ask us (though you may get different versions depending on who you ask).

Very large park that provides numerous outdoor activities for the whole family. Megan and Ed visit this park frequently for summer walks. Millennium park has a 6 acre sand beach for swimming and over 18 miles of hiking trails along the Grand River, providing scenic nature experiences.
