Gioia dell'Amore Cellars at Autumn Creek Vineyards
If you would like to explore the venue of the wedding, I recommend you do a wine tasting and enjoy the view of the Gioia dell'Amore Cellars at Autumn Creek Vineyards. Dylan and I (Megan) come here to relax and get our minds off of all the negativity in our life. The owners are very nice, welcoming, and they make it so easy to take the stress off. This is our calm space and we would like to share the experience.
Mayodan Park (Elliott Duncan Park)
During our first two years together, Dylan and I (Megan) never had any money, but we had long boards. We would come here to long board around the park and play on the playground with little kids who LOVED us because Dylan would swing them higher or spin them faster (with parental consent). The little kids would even chant his name before we left. This was the first time I knew that I wanted Dylan to be the father of my kids. This park will always be a positive memory in our mind.
Mayo River State Park
Hours: 8am-6pm We have never actually been to this location, but we have heard great things. If you would like to take your family out, on a budget, this would be a great place to spend time together and bond, which is what our families need right now. There are many other places to explore, but it is a farther drive from the venue.
Friendly Shopping Center
Now that Dylan and I (Megan) are older, we like to go to Friendly Shopping Center with Lake, our one year old daughter, to just get out of the house and have a good time. We like to put Lake in the stroller and walk around the plaza. We take her to Friendly Pets, which is a pet store with a variety of different animals, and Lake absolutely loves it. On date nights, we go to The Grande movie theater and watch whatever scary movie is playing that day. Even though Friendly Shopping Center is a 45 minute drive from the venue, it is still an amazing place to go and we both highly recommend for you to try Caribou Coffee and see all the places available.
