Andrew (Droo) loves the outdoors, music, spending time with his closest friends, and being an incredible cat dad. Droo enjoys watching Star Wars and building legos with Megan. He loves to travel and make new connections and looks forward to traveling more in the future. Droo is a talented cook and host and always blows guests away with his creations. Most who know him consider him one of the kindest and funniest people in their lives. He is truly a wild man. He never fails to surprise and entertain us all. Droo is passionate about social causes and is a proud Big and employee of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Megan

Megan grew up in small towns across the Plains and Midwest. At an early age she discovered a passion for reading and art. She loves stories told through film and literature. She is a fiber artist, designs custom shirts, draws and doodles, and more. Her talent knows no end and she can do whatever she puts her mind to. Megan is a true artist. She loves antiques and adores all things that inspire nostalgia. She is also the mother of two wonderful kitties and will always be the small town Kansas girl that stole Droo’s heart.
Presley Hasselman
Matron of Honor
Megan and Presley have known each other for nearly 20 years. They instantly became best friends on a bus to Chicago where they would perform in a thanksgiving day parade and explore the city together. They performed together in jazz bands and a saxophone quartet for many years before they both joined the Marching Jayhawks. They love spending time at the lake together fishing and swimming. Most of all, they love a cozy night crafting and watching movies together. It is hard to put into words how special their friendship is. Presley and her wife Meg are very near and dear to Megan and Droo and they can’t wait to share memories for the years to come.
Daulton Lafferty

Megan and Daulton met and quickly connected when they moved onto the same floor of Hashinger at KU. They bonded over watching Miyazaki movies and RuPaul’s Drag Race. They are forever thrifting buddies and sisters of the moon.
KJ Jarboe

KJ and Megan met during their freshman year at KU. A few years later they grew close and became roommates. They danced in the rain together and became lifelong friends. KJ is a talented drummer and karaoke fiend.
Meg Hasselman

Megan and Meg met through the Matron of Honor, Presley. Meg has a natural talent for making people feel safe and at ease. As the wife of the Matron of Honor and a dear friend, Meg has a special place in our hearts.
Bea Brittan

Bea and Megan met each other in high school and have been friends ever since. After they both moved to Kansas City, they became roommates and mothers to Kiki Riley-Brittan (cat). Megan and Bea remain very close and enjoy the occasional wine and pizza night together whenever they can.
Michael Garringer
Best Man
Mike and Droo met in 7th grade Biology class and have remained the funniest two people alive since then. Droo is honored to call Michael his Best Man.
Kwang Hyun
Groomsman
Kwang worked with some of Droo’s friends and ended up showing up to college parties long enough that they all decided to adopt him into the friend group. Kwang and Droo were college roommates with fellow groomsman Max Welker. Please ask Kwang about his Joker impression.
Seth Berkbugler
Groomsman
On a Prairie Village Soiree in early 2009, a boy from Prairie Village and another boy from Prairie Village made eyes over the plastic wrap of their Big Texas Cinnamon rolls. Seth and Droo have been friends since high school. Droo was Seth’s best man in his wedding and the two have a shared passion for queso and barefoot moscato for as long as they can remember.
Max Welker
Groomsman
Max and Droo and have been pals since 4th grade. The two share a band of brothers bond through their experiences in high school band. Both played saxophone and lived together in Lawrence for a year before Max joined the Navy. Droo waited patiently at the coast holding a red rose for four years waiting for his friend to return from sea.
Charlie Backus
Groomsman
Charlie and Droo met at a party. The two took a trip to Washington DC with fellow groomsman, Kwang, where they tricked Kwang into driving for nearly 12 hours straight by setting the clock forward several hours when Kwang took a short nap. Charlie and Droo both prefer a bad time to a good one. Megan and Droo are very excited to have Charlie officiate their wedding.

Brogan and Droo met about ten years ago and regularly discuss the finest cinema and music earth has to offer. The two have been band mates and cohosts of a podcast, “the scary hand”. You can usually find Droo and Brogan at their respective domiciles, where they are most comfortable.
