We’re getting married!

Dom and Megan met back in 2019 at Orangetheory! After she had her eye on that cute guy she saw every once in a while and some digging by friends, Dom got the hint. He hopped on the treadmill next to her, asked her out on a date and the rest is history!

When asked “when are you guys getting married?” Dom’s go to response was “in 5 years” unless we had recently been golfing together, in that case it went up as high as 10 years. Dom started planning “date nights” he claimed because he knew I did not always want to go out in comfy clothes, so if it was titled “date night” we would put on some normal clothes and go to a restaurant we didn’t normally go to. THE date night was September 23, 2021. Dom requested mani pedis since we had gone before, he had enjoyed it and he was “due” I will never turn down a pedicure so that was that. The previous pedicure Dom had mentioned blue polish for my toes, not a blue polish girl so that didn’t happen. This time, since it was getting chillier and Dom was buying I decided why not and went with the blue. Fast forward. We go to dinner at House of Como, enjoyed dinner, everything seemed normal. We go home, I try to let the dogs out (normal routine) and I’m stopped by Dom. He says “I think there is something for you to see outside” at this point he essentially pushes me out the door where the patio has a candlelit path to the backyard, the patio table is covered in candles and photos of us. And then there is the set up. Decorations draped from the tree, a blanket, candles, more photos (Dom hates photos, bet he was glad I had so many to choose from now) a wooden charcuterie board made by Dom, chocolates, roses, and a little green box. Cue tears because now its sinking in. I think at first I was more Shocked that he had planned this and gotten away with it. When I tell you I had no idea, I had NO idea. Out comes Haley (haleyravenphotography) to capture the moment. Dom says “I know you had your heart set on 5 years, But I couldn’t wait any longer” Of course I said yes. He truly thought of every detail.

Megan’s aunt Julie and uncle Greg have a place on Lido Key that they have graciously shared with our family over the years. It’s been one of Megan’s favorite places to visit and quickly became one of Dom’s. The beach is beautiful and there is so much to see and do around the area. We are so thankful for those who are coming to celebrate our wedding with us and we hope you fall in love with Lido Key. We are lucky Julie and Greg shared their piece of paradise and now we can’t wait to share with you!
