Dan and Megan met in Tampa through mutual friends, and from the very beginning there was an easy, natural connection between them. Their first official date was at a quaint little Italian restaurant in South Tampa, where they quickly realized how much they had in common. From their shared sense of humor to their love for sporting events, walking around Tampa, grabbing coffee and lunch, and going out for dinner and drinks, their relationship grew effortlessly and was always filled with laughter and fun. About a year into dating, Dan and Megan took the next big step and moved in together, continuing to build a life filled with everyday adventures, great memories, and plenty of time spent exploring the city they both love. Tampa has played such a special role in their relationship, making so many of their favorite moments together even more meaningful. The proposal was nothing short of unforgettable. Dan told Megan they were heading to a work dinner at Davis Islands Yacht Club, but his story started to fall apart when he mentioned they had to take a boat to get there due to parking. Megan went along with it, slightly suspicious, until they reached the end of the island and Dan admitted there was no dinner, and got down on one knee. After Megan said yes, Dan told her the night wasn’t over yet. He surprised her with a helicopter ride over downtown Tampa and out to St. Pete Beach under a perfectly clear sky. But there was still more. He then took her to the dive bar where they used to spend time with friends and where the spark between them first began, taking photos in the same photobooth they had sat in on one of their earliest nights together. To end the night, Dan brought Megan to American Social, where their parents and closest friends were waiting to celebrate. It was truly the perfect and most memorable night. Dan and Megan are so excited to continue this journey together and can’t wait to celebrate with all of their favorite people on January 9, 2027 in Tampa, Florida.
