If you want food at any hour of any day, this is a great place. The food is good, it's made hot, and they are open 24 hours. We go here every time we are in the area.
Strawberry Rock Hike
Strawberry Rock Trail, Trinidad, CA 95570
This is a moderate hike with a short rock to climb at the end. It is worth the view.
College Cove Beach
College Cove Trail, Trinidad, CA 95570
It's kind of middle of nowhere, but you do a very short walk and a tiny hike down to the beach (short but steep) and it's absolutely gorgeous when you get down there. The hike back to the car is much worse.
Sequoia Park Zoo

I have not been here, but my family went while I was going to school at Cal Poly Humboldt. It's a cute small zoo. The free park right next to the zoo is really nice too.
Fern Canyon

Beautiful hike, covered in ferns (duh), and they filmed some of The Lost World: Jurassic Park there.
