Even as dementia began to take its toll, he never stopped filling our lives with love, laughter, and his unforgettable sense of humor. One of his favorite questions was always asking when Colby and I were finally going to get married; he was waiting for this day long before it arrived. Throughout my life, he supported me in everything I did, always cheering me on, making jokes, and creating memories I will carry forever. The way he loved others was evident in his service through the military and in law enforcement, always putting others before himself. While he may not be here with us today, I know he is celebrating from heaven, and his love continues to surround us."-Megan
