How to torture your family and friends 101: make an obscure wedding dress code for them to translate. Ours has boiled down to "Festive Desert Florals", the basic breakdown is cocktail attire with a little dessert floral flair. Please have fun with this and take it lightly. :) Quickest breakdown (because Chad says, what is cocktail attire?). Gentleman: No jeans, wear a collared shirt up to a full suit. Bonus points for color and pattern. Ladies: Floral or colored dress, or whatever you feel best in. And please wear your dancing shoes! We want this to be a par-tay. Important Notes (especially for the ladies): The ceremony and reception are all outdoors, and while we can expect 80 degree days, the temperature in the desert will drop dramatically once the sun goes down. We will have heaters and blankets, but we strongly suggest bringing a warm wrap or jacket. Also, the ground is mostly artificial turf with some areas of grass, so plan your heels accordingly. I'm happy to send you a Pinterest inspo board if you want it since it won't let me link one here. :) https://www.pinterest.com/megpucak/wedding-vibes-fit-check/
Nope. What we really want is to gather and celebrate with all of our favorite people. We hope you can be there with us, and if not that you are sending us your love.
Yes. Although we are still working out the details the reason for selecting Palm Desert was that we love all of the additional time with wedding guests that having a destination wedding allows for, but we didn't want to make everyone get on a plane to make that happen (at least for our San Diego peeps). As such we will have a welcome drinks event Friday evening, and we hope that your travel plans allow you to stay around on Sunday and join us by one of the many resort pools for some additional fun.
We are keeping all wedding events to adults only. The only children at the wedding will be immediate family as we couldn't resist the chance to show off such darling flower girls and ring-bearers.
As soon as you can please. We are working on final counts for all of our vendors.
The La Quinta resort is located at: 49-499 Eisenhower Dr, La Quinta, CA 92253 The resort is a thirty minute drive from the Palm Springs International Airport. San Diegan, it is a two hour drive for you, give or take traffic. Coloradans, part of the reason we picked this destination is that Southwest has direct Denver to Palm Springs flights to make it easier on you.
