The year was 2021, Megan and her friends were taking advantage of an all you can drink special at the UU, a bar in Madison, WI. Their bartender was a handsome young man wearing a floral mask by the name of Carson Johnson. Carson bought Megan a drink after his shift was over and the two hit it off! Their first date was the best Mexican restaurant on State Street; Casa de Lara. After graduation, Carson moved to Laramie, WY for his first engineering job while Megan was finishing her last year at UW. After a year of long distance, they were reunited in Madison. The couple moved to Rochester, MN where they have lived happily with their dog, Maeve, for the last 3 years. Carson proposed on February 8th, 2025 on a hike in the woods and Megan said YES!
