Brian and I met in 2003 while working at Six Flags Wyandot Lake. He worked in First Aid and I worked in Raft Rental. We definitely enjoyed each other’s company, and I spent many of my breaks laughing with Brian in the First Aid and Security building. We kept in touch occasionally over the years via Facebook. The summer of 2017, we saw each other from across Baboon Lagoon at Zoombezi Bay (formerly Wyandot Lake). We talked and the butterflies came back for both of us. In early 2018, we missed an opportunity to connect when the Fun Bus I was on had some mechanical issues on it’s way back to Columbus, OH from New Orleans, LA. We stopped in Cornersville, TN, but ultimately made it to Columbia, TN for the night. Brian wanted to meet up, but he was working late and had an early morning meeting. Finally, at the end of 2018 (December 28, 2018, to be exact), Brian responded to a Facebook post I made and the rest is history. We began talking on the phone and mostly FaceTimed in the evenings for hours catching up on all of the years we weren’t a part of each others lives. We finally got to spend time together February 14, 2019 after I drove to Columbia from Columbus. Brian impressed me with his stellar cooking skills that evening when he made homemade chicken and steak tacos, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Yum! He also surprised me with his leathersmith skills and gifted me a beautiful handmade passport holder and lovely handmade journal. We had our first official date out on February 15, 2019 at The Dotted Lime in Columbia, TN. We were able to see each other almost every month of 2019 and 2020 until I moved to Columbia July of 2020. We are both so blessed to be in each others lives and to have this big love for each other. We are beyond excited to share our big day with all of you. ❤️
