As many of you know, our wedding plans were greatly impacted by the recent coronavirus. We are happy to report that we took these changes in stride and are now having a small, intimate ceremony. It is a bittersweet moment but we are thrilled to be getting married, and we know you will be there cheering us on in spirit. We look forward to seeing everyone next and celebrating here, at our home ❤️
We met at Central Michigan University in the fall of 2006. Brad was helping one of my roommates move in along with their parents. The first thing I noticed was how quiet he was and that he did not look like he wanted to be there! After being introduced to a mutual friend down the hall, the friendship began. We spent time at football games and tailgates, group outings and parties, and even nights in our dorm watching TrueLife on MTv. It wasnt until four years later that we became something more. After having made so many friends and relationships with people in 'THE THUMB' I was a frequent goer of barn parties and bon fires on weekends. One such night, I was abandoned by my ride and Brad chivalrously offered me not only a ride home, but a place to stay for the night. Being on the shy side, I was mortified at the idea of staying at a guys house who had previously dated one of my friends, but for lack of other options I agreed. He only teased me a little bit when I insisted that I sleep in my smelly bonfire hoodie and jeans! Anyone who knows us, knows that part of our story involves a breakup of several years. However, we cherish this part of our story. Even while apart, we were drawn to each other. Little known to others, we attended a concert together, went to the zoo, and even met for dinner and a movie on a rare occasion. Late night texts, special songs, and inside jokes always kept us connected. For five years our flame for each other stayed burning. At last, the planets aligned and we realized we werent meant to be with anyone else but each other. Years worth of memories later and we've purchased our dream home and introduced our fur baby Cooper to our family. And on a perfect Christmas morning of 2019, opening presents in our jammies by the fire, Brad finally popped the question. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
