To Do

Bottineau and Lake Metagoshe have a special place in our hearts. We compiled some of our favorite places to go and things to do in the area. We hope you find the beauty in this space, just as we do!

Lake Metigoshe State Park

2514 2nd St E, Bottineau, ND 58318

Explore the Turtle Mountains! Beautiful place for hiking, mountain biking and swimming at the beach. You can even hike to the Canadian border!

International Peace Garden

10939 U.S. 281 S, Dunseith, ND 58329
, (701) 263-4390

A little bit of a drive, but worth it when in the area. The gardens are shared between the United States and Canada. The gardens provide a beautiful place for a walk. You will need to drive through a international check point and will need your passport.

Metigoshe Drive-In

3343 Lake Loop Road, Bottineau, ND 58318
, (701) 263-4270

A great spot for lunch or a quick ice cream. Famous for the pizza burger (a favorite of Bjorn's!) and shakes (Megan's favorite, chocolate banana!).

Bottineau Country Club

10002 Lake Road, Bottineau, ND 58318
, (701) 228-3857

While it is a country club, they allow non members to use the course outside of certain days. Call before to set up a tee time. Attire is a bit more casual.

A Frame Bar and Grill

71 Twin Oaks Shore, Bottineau, ND 58318
, (701) 263-4466

We will be having our welcome cocktail hour here, but a great place for a casual meal or a beer on the patio.

Turtle Mountain Provincial Park

Boissevain, MB R0K 0E0, Canada
, +1 204-945-3744

If the border is open, this is a beautiful spot for hiking, biking and fishing.

For all the days along the way
