Hotel
This is the hotel where we've blocked off rooms for guests. It's a five minute drive from St. Anthony's and quite close to the White Plains train station. To book in our block, please do so before March 22. If you try to book ahead of the deadline and find there's no more room, please contact us.
Travel Note
On the wedding day, a bus that will leave the hotel where we've blocked off rooms, the White Plains Residence Inn, at 3:30 p.m. to take wedding guests to the church. The same bus will take folks to the reception at Crabtree afterward and at 10:30 will take anyone who wants a ride back to the Residence Inn. You do not have to be staying at the Residence Inn to use the bus and we recommend that all out-of-towners or folks coming from New York City (i.e. people without cars in New York) use it. PLEASE NOTE: Lyfts and Ubers are unlikely to come to the Kittle House in the evening as it's off in the woods. Because there is limited space on the bus and we would like to limit it having to make multiple trips, keeping folks waiting, we'd appreciate if anyone who does have access to a car instead drives or arranges a ride. There will be street parking at the church as well as a lot behind it and there is a lot at the Kittle House too.
Travel Note
There are a number of airports in the area: Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains: It's the closest by far to the church where we're getting married in West Harrison (fewer than six miles away). But it's also quite small so few flights go through there. LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in Queens: It's the next closest and gets flights from all over, but will require some city driving if you rent a car, which can be exciting or stressful. It is likely simpler and cheaper to take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to Grand Central Station then take the Harlem Line train up to White Plains station, which is a 10 minute walk from the Residence Inn and a less than 10 minute drive to the church. You don't need to buy train tickets in advance, they're usually purchased day-of in the station. You can find train times here at the MNR tab: https://new.mta.info/schedules/metro-north-railroad John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) in Queens: It's the third closest and also quite large, but again there's city driving unless you want to take the Harlem Line up from Grand Central Station. Newark Airport (EWR) in New Jersey: It's the furthest for sure, but won't require you drive in New York City. If you choose not to drive however, you will have to negotiate taking public transport or a taxi or rideshare from Jersey all the way into Grand Central.
Travel Note
The wedding and reception will both take place north of the city, where it'd be easiest to get around via Uber or Lyft. As mentioned above, there will be a bus taking wedding guests from the Residence Inn to the church, then the reception, then back to the Residence Inn. You can drive if you like. There will be street parking at the church and a small lot near the Kittle House. If you visit the city or are coming from an airport there, it'd be easiest to use public transport. As mentioned above, the Harlem Line will take you from the city to White Plains and it'll also take you back in. You don't need to buy tickets in advance, they're usually purchased day -of in the station. Information about train times is here at the MNR tab: https://new.mta.info/schedules/metro-north-railroad Once in the city, you can take Ubers, Lyfts, taxis or the subway.
