Hmong hand-tying ceremony (Khi Tes), celebrates important life events such as weddings, births, recoveries from illness, or milestones. During the ceremony, family and community members gather to offer blessings, protection, and good fortune. White cotton strings are tied around the wrists of the honored person to symbolize the binding of good spirits to them, ensuring health, harmony, and success. We will start with the Khi Tes ceremony and reception to follow. A Hmong style buffet will be served for dinner, followed by dancing and games.
