The inside speaks for itself, we also happened to get engaged on the steps and love to go there for outdoor workouts. When Barco was young, watching ROCKY back in Morocco, he saw the Art Museum steps and told his Mom that he was going to move there, she didn't love this idea at the time...but 25 years later, here we are!
So many delicious options. Barco's favorites are the Beiler's Donuts, my fav is a turkey sandwich at Carmines, and fresh juices from Kamal's right across the aisle. We both like grabbing fresh seafood and produce to cook at home. They also have a Hope's Cookies (favorite from my hometown in Bryn Mawr), and a great local shop of Philly goods. LOCAL favorites include cheesesteaks, Amish market baked goods, DeNic's sandwiches, Termini Brothers bakery, and Bassetts Ice Cream.
One of favorite parks to grab a coffee, take a seat, and enjoy a beautiful day people watching. Also a great area for restaurants (Parc is a fave), shopping, or grabbing a coffee (La Colombe) or cocktail.
Visit the place where our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence. Megan grew up reenacting the very day in her 7th grade immersive program, where her love for American history was solidified. This has a special significance as the first spot we visited when Barco came to Philly.
Needs no introduction! Located conveniently across the street from Hotel Monaco.
Great area to walk around and check out local shops. restaurants, and bars.
