Our story began at Baylor, when we both started nursing school in Dallas, Texas. After months of being good friends, Megan agreed to meet up for coffee at a local spot. What was supposed to be a quick study date for class turned into a five-hour conversation… zero studying got done. What started as once-a-week hangouts quickly became everyday life together—going to class together, studying for exams, walking the Katy Trail, cheering for Baylor football, plenty of date nights in Dallas, and becoming best friends along the way. We graduated nursing school together; however, our next chapter took us to different places—Austin to San Diego with the Navy, and Megan staying in Dallas to begin her nursing career at her dream job. Long-distance came with its challenges, but it also helped us grow. We spent countless hours on FaceTime, traveled often, and cherished every moment we had in person—beach days in Coronado, morning hikes in Torrey Pines, paddle boarding in Newport Harbor, and watching sunsets in San Diego. Over the course of the last three years, it became pretty clear, we want to spend the rest of our lives together. Then, in August, Austin proposed to Megan at Torrey Pines State Beach—right where so many special memories were made. Now, we cannot wait to begin the next chapter. We’re so excited for the future, the memories we’ll make, and the life we get to create together!
