August of 2015 I (Megan) started working at Duchess in Ansonia. My first day of work I had this short girl come behind the counter in normal clothes and a cast on her arm. She goes "Hi, my name is Ashley! I am one of your managers as well. It is my day off though but came in to make your clock in number! It's the last 3 digits of your social. I made it 691 though because I doubt you want your clock in number to be 69!" Me, the shy and innocent one laughed and got all nervous. She laughed and we became friends very fast when we started working together! She eventually trained me to become one of the managers with her. My work besties decided to put her two weeks in and the last day I worked with her, I got officially got promoted and got my manager shirt! She was so missed. We stayed close, even when she moved across the country to live in New Mexico for a few years. Ashley ALWAYS came to see me wherever I was, when she would come back and visit. THEN she decided to move back and join the company again. She came and worked at my store to cover someone one day and it was like she never left! We started hanging out more and she showed so much more love than just a friend! One night my shyness disappeared and we admitted to feelings for each other. We've grown and loved each other ever since! Our love still grows each day leading up to the wedding. Even with all the chaos of wedding details mixed with cheer comps for the girls. We cannot wait to be joined as one in front of all our loved ones.
