So we met on Bachelor in Paradise: Season 2. Big deal. It happens. The beaches of Mexico are amaZing (capital Z) aren’t they?! Just kidding. We met online. Big deal. What’s the difference?! A promising relationship was on the horizon...dating, engagement, marriage, house, babies (dogs), etc...but THEN...have you ever seen the movie Casper? GHOSTED HER. My best friend’s wedding happened (thanks J. Knight) and I had a near death experience. Who knew wearing tuxedo shoes on a cold January 2017 night in Knoxville could end so poorly? Yeah me neither. An abmulance ride later... “I’M A 90’s BABY...IN MY 80’s MERCEDES.” I. Made. A. Mistake. I was born in December 1987! (Thanks Maren Morris). As soon as I got my conciousness back THE only person I could think of was Meg Ryan. (You know, the girl from Sleepless in Seatlle.) So there was only one thing I could do... ASK HER OUT! DUH! Luckily, for me, it was the MEGAN RYAN I wanted to go out with (no offense Meg Ryan). So I asked her out. I got 2 tacos. She got a fully LOADED plate of nachos. And I said: “Juliet, take me somewhere we can be alone, I’ll be waitng, all that’s left to do is run, You’ll be the princess and I’ll be the prince, It’s a love story, baby, just say yes.” Yep. She’s my Juliet. Hellmann IS in Heaven
The Hellmann’s- a true millennial love story Alex and I matched on Bumble in December 2016. After talking for a while, we had our first date at Taco Mamacita in January 2017! We quickly bonded over our shared sense of humor, taste in music and our rival college basketball times (Kansas for me, Kentucky for Alex). Fast forward 2 years, on the Sunday before thanksgiving, Alex took me completely by surprise with his proposal! That day, I had a girls brunch where we joked about me getting engaged that week, and Alex spent the afternoon out with his friend Boone. I left to get supplies for our typical Sunday Pizza Night, and popped into Pottery Barn to get Alex a cool candle! When I got home, I announced “I have a cool present for you” he responded “I have a better one” and there he was in our kitchen, candles lit and a jewelry bag next to flowers he had bought! I immediately started freaking out as he got down on one knee and proposed (when I stopped blabbering about how shocked I was of course) We then celebrated with champagne, pizza, and Boone who was also completely surprised!
