FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your children, this will primarily be an adults only occasion, as we have chosen to only include children from our immediate families. If your child is invited, their names will be included on the invitation. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a date night and we appreciate you making prior arrangements.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes before the start time of 5 PM to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space (located about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot) and find a seat.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes; however, there is limited parking so please try to car pool if you can.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we'd love for guests to join us in semi-formal attire. Gentlemen, please feel free to wear a suit, blazer, or dress shirt with dress pants. Ladies, a midi-length / formal cocktail dress or dressy separates would be ideal.

Question

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Answer

Although we are getting married at a botanical garden, both the ceremony and the reception will be indoors. We encourage guests to explore Powell Garden's grounds while they are here.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Amazon. Please see the Registry tab for the link.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding ceremony "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos at our wedding. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day. Guests are more than welcome (and encouraged) to take photos during the reception!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout the reception; however, we do recommend bringing cash along to tip your bartender.
