What fascinates me most about our upcoming nuptials is the newness of it all. What I mean is, Albert and I have been together for 10 years, there’s nothing new about that, but our wedding does bring about a new beginning for the both of us. And it’s exciting. As we prepare for the big day, we both reflected on how we met, the good, the bad, and the uncomfortable bits of it all. Most of you know some part of this story, and to be frankly honest there are parts I don’t really remember, but here is goes. How did we both meet? Well, we were set up by my Mom and his Sister. My Mom told me about this guy and that he would be going to Palm Beach State College in the Fall, and I remember her saying to me “you could be friends, maybe even study buddies…” Well, let’s just say we never became study buddies, but we did become friends. The very best of friends. We did go on our first date which consisted of a low-key walk around the mall, I mean it was 2009, and malls were still a thing. Then we went to see a movie entitled “The Gamer,” do me a favor and watch it. I want you all to understand just how uncomfortable that movie is for first daters. And we survived our first date and have done some many firsts together. We are grateful to have you along for the ride. And it is truly an honor to have you join us to celebrate our new beginning… With love, Megan & Albert
