After some pretty lame dates, I was about to give up on finding a man in ND. I came across Rich and we started texting back and forth. I decided he was the last one I would go on a date with from an online app and if it did not work out, oh well! He drove the 2 hour drive to Minot, showed up with pink lilies and we headed to dinner. I was of course the talkative one and he was the listener-I wasnt sure if this was going to go anywhere. After dinner, he asked if he could drive me to class the next day and the next morning at 7 AM he showed up at my door with coffee, took me to class and from then on out we were inseparable!
For weeks I thought we were going to Chicago for a long weekend but two days before, I received a package in the mail with “clues” as to where we were going for the weekend. They end up leading into “Vanderpump” from my favorite housewife show who had just opened a new bar I wanted to try. We were in Vegas for two days and I get told we are having dinner at 4 pm.... very unusual for Vegas. Richie walks me thru the Bellagio, with a slight attitude because I had to walk in high heels Then some lady stops me and says your dressed so nice can we take some pics for a promo for the casino and I said uhhh sure, they take us outside in front of the fountains and there is champagne and roses and the fountains going. They take some pictures of us and ask me to face the fountains for a photo, I do...I then turn around and Bruno Mars starts playing to the dancing fountains (my favorite artist) and my best friend is down on one knee saying "you’re my best friend I want to spend my life wit, U will u marry me and tears just start flowing .Then they take us for pictures around the property at the pool and gardens. We then went to dinner at Lago and phone family and friends. After, he says lets go get an uber, as we are waiting he tells me its a black car, next thing I know a limo is pulling up with our names on it and champagne is waiting inside. Richie made a special music playlist and we drove around Vegas stopping at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign and the Wynn to take photos then back to Ceasar's Palace to tell our Lu dog the exciting news!
