How we met

January 26, 2018

We met at through friends at Parkway Bar in Stevens Point! Ironically, Adams parents also met at Parkway bar years ago! I went out to karaoke with my friend who had just started dating a guy who is friends with Adam and drug him out as well. Adam finally asked me to dance after a little liquid courage. We stayed until bar close, and he left with our friends. I got a call from him on my way home telling me to come over to our friends house because they were going to keep the party going there. I finally agreed after about 10 minutes of convincing, and ended up staying there until 6 in the morning. He ended up promising me that he would sing High School Musical songs with me at the next karaoke - he still has yet to fulfill this promise (or even watch the movie).

The Proposal

June 15, 2019

I was house/dog sitting for my Aunt Patti and Uncle Gene while they were on vacation for a week. They have a beautiful house on the water, and I had a few friends over to have a campfire to keep me company. He thought he was being stealthy, but called all his friends over to look at something earlier in the evening, and when I asked if I could come see what he was showing, he said no. (He's not very good at surprises despite what he may tell you) So I had a sneaking suspicion something was going to happen. Later that night, while we were all sitting around the campfire, he played the song "Keeper of the Stars", and got down on one knee in front of all of our closest friends and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes and here we are!
