Beach Attire: We suggest linen, khaki, or chino pants or shorts; short-sleeved button-downs or polo shirts; maxi dresses; sundresses; or anything along the lines of dressy casual. We want everyone to feel comfortable! These are only suggestions, and no one is limited to only these ideas.
Please arrive at least half an hour prior to the ceremony's start time to give yourselves time to park and locate the ceremony site.
There is a parking lot directly across the street from the beach where our ceremony will take place. Please be aware that there are two entrances to the beach and you may be walking across the sand to where the ceremony is set up. A bathroom is available for use in the parking lot.
The ceremony will be entirely outdoors, and the reception will be on the second level of Pusser's, which is also open-air. The temperature could be anywhere from the mid-70s to the upper-80s. As such, please dress appropriately for the outdoors so that you will be comfortable. You may want to consider bringing sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, water, bug spray, a handheld fan, or an umbrella. The weather is changing constantly this time of year, and we may not know what to expect until a few days beforehand.
In the event that it rains at our scheduled start time, we will coordinate with our wedding planner to see if we can wait for the rain to pass and resume the ceremony at a slightly delayed time. If it appears we will be completely rained out, the ceremony will be moved to our reception location.
In lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we decided to host a welcome dinner the night before instead. This event will be a casual barbeque hosted by the bride's family. Everyone is invited to attend, although this event is completely optional.
