We're getting married!

On October 25, 2018, Kevin walked up to Megan, who was leaning over the bar at Sundries, waiting for a drink. He said, "Hey Megan," and she replied, "Do I know you?" He said, "Your sister does," so Megan promptly took a selfie of the two of them (below) and sent it to her sister with no words. Kara, her sister, replied, "KEVIN!" at which point Megan looks at this strange man and says, "Well hey Kevin." They ran into each other a few times over the next week or so, then they start talking more and more. Kevin said they could just be friends and he will never have another serious relationship, and within a few weeks that was blown out of the water. Although it took a while for them both to admit it, Kevin and Megan knew almost immediately that their connection was different. The next 2.5 years brought a lot of patience as they worked through past issues, and they grew stronger together. It also brought a lot of trials - broken bones and surgeries and losing best friends and jobs and starting a new business and dealing with a stalker and vandalisms and anxiety and then, the stroke, which subsequently made Kevin lose the business he worked so hard to start. Megan was by Kevin's side during the stroke and every day since then, and they have formed a bond that cannot be broken easily. On April 21, 2021, while dealing with a major plumbing issue at the house, quite literally in the middle of a bunch of crap, Kevin told Megan that there will never be the "perfect" moment, but he couldn't wait another 5 minutes without knowing that she will be his forever. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him and spend their lives enjoying each other and the kids, even in the middle of the messes that come with real life. She said yes.
