David and Megan’s short love story began at church. For about two years, they were mutual friends who served together on the worship team but rarely spoke to each other outside of that. That changed one day when they hung out with a mutual friend for lunch and a trip to Target—something Megan still loves doing to this day. That afternoon, Megan and her friend were helping David pick out outfits for the upcoming Easter service. When David tried on one of the options, Megan was taken aback by how attractive he looked. She brushed it off, thinking it was a strange reaction. Not long after that day, David started sending Megan funny Instagram reels. Although they’d never texted before, Megan went along with it. Soon, they were regularly sending reels and chatting more often. Over time, they both realized they genuinely enjoyed talking to each other, and a mutual interest began to grow. Eventually, after months of getting to know one another better through conversation, they made it official on August 9, 2023. Their first date was getting ice cream at Handel’s in Downey, where they shared lots of laughs and began falling for each other even more. Their shared love for Christ became the foundation of their relationship. It was essential to both of them to honor God by doing things His way and in His timing. On January 31, the day after Megan’s birthday, David took her on a special dinner date. It was a beautiful night at Shoreline Village, full of love and meaningful conversation. David surprised Megan with a heartfelt poem and a promise ring—a memory they both cherish deeply. Fast forward a year and some months later—on January 25, 2025—David asked Megan to marry him. They are now joyfully preparing for their wedding day, set for January 25, 2026—exactly one year after their engagement. David and Megan are so grateful to God for bringing them together and for all He has provided along the way. They love Christ, and they pray that their marriage brings glory to Him.
