It all started when Megan didn’t remember the first time she met Chad. Apparently, their first meeting was at church in the fall of 2019. Chad said, “How’s it going, girl?! You look fine!” Megan blacked out and has no recollection of this interaction. So, according to Meg’s timeline, the two officially met when her housemate, Deb, introduced the two of them, knowing their related professions (ENT and SLP). A blossoming friendship ensued between the three of them at the beginning of 2020. Random FaceTime conversations and dinners followed between the three friends, leading to a providentially timed trip to the Olympic National Park. Chad who originally planned to join for just a few days, ultimately stayed for the entirety of Deb and Meg’s Olympic trip. It was during this trip that the tides of Meg and Chad’s friendship shifted. Both were initially resistant to their increased interest in each other. Chad called Meg on the phone a few weeks later with the kindest invitation on a date. Meg, cold-hearted as she was, told him she needed to think about it and get back to him. Chad, patient as he was, waited three days for Megan’s response; which was that they should have a conversation in person about the possibility of going on a date. Needless to say, the conversation resulted in a first date to a Frisbee Golf Course. Romantic interest grew slowly at first, until, BAM, it hit Megan like a ton of bricks and she was smitten. And here we all are. With many ups and downs in between, the two decided to take the plunge. Megan ended up with a giant rock on her left hand and Chad, a house in the rainy city of Tacoma. In all seriousness, we are honored for the privilege of committing our lives to each other and thrilled to have our favorite people around us on this special day.
