Music has always played an integral role in Gabby and Nathan’s love story. To understand why, we rewind to 1993. On one side of the map, baby Gabby was in Palmdale, California, sitting in on her dad and uncles’ band practice, soaking up the sounds of classics being played in their living room. On the other, Nathan was growing up in North Seattle, surrounded by lifelong friends and the soundtrack of the Pacific Northwest. For both of them, music became woven into their identities from the very beginning. By 2018, those parallel paths were about to cross. Gabby was living in Eugene, Oregon, making frequent drives to Seattle for concerts that rarely came through town. Nathan was based in Sacramento but had come home to Seattle for Bumbershoot, the festival that had long been part of his world. That Labor Day weekend at Bumbershoot was when their stories finally collided. Introduced through one of Gabby’s bridesmaids, Brooke, they connected instantly. At first, it was just friendship, but a seed had been planted, one that would eventually grow into something much more. In 2019, Gabby decided to take a chance and text Nathan out of the blue: “If we ever happen to be in Seattle at the same time, would you want to grab a drink?” Nathan didn’t hesitate. He said yes. And from that moment on, the spark between them only grew. Then came 2020, and with it, a worldwide pandemic. Gabby was living in Los Angeles with her parents, Nathan was in Sacramento, and suddenly the world had shut down. To protect their families and still be together, Nathan moved in with Gabby and her parents. From a bold text to living under one roof, their relationship was tested and strengthened in the most unexpected way. By August of that year, Gabby and Nathan made the move to Seattle together, joining the close-knit circle Nathan had grown up with, many of whom Gabby already knew from her own college days. Seattle quickly became their shared home base, a place where both of their worlds merged seamlessly. Fast forward to February 2024. On the Big Island of Hawaii, with the ocean waves crashing nearby and close friends at their side, Nathan got down on one knee. In true Gabby fashion, her first reaction was shock (“Shut the f*** up!!”), followed by a very clear yes. Since then, they have been loving life as fiancés, spending quality time together, and planning a wedding that reflects everything they value: love, laughter, community, and, of course, great music. Which brings us to March 28, 2026. The day Gabby and Nathan officially tie the knot. They cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you in the desert sun. Let’s groove!
