Montauk Lighthouse
The Montauk Point Lighthouse, commissioned by President George Washington in 1792, is one of the best-known and most-beloved icons of Long Island. It was the first lighthouse to be built in New York, and is the fourth-oldest working lighthouse in the nation. It was named a National Historic Landmark in 2012, one of only 12 lighthouses to be so honored. Take a walk around the beach or buy a ticket to visit the museum and learn about the history of the lighthouse.
Montauk Brewing Company
'Come as You Are' and try this famous local brewery's offerings. Mike's favorite is the Wave Chaser and Grace's is the Summer Ale, but the Driftwood Ale is a hands-down favorite when in season.
Camp Hero State Park
415 acres of diverse landscape including heavily wooded areas, a long expanse of beachfront along the Atlantic Ocean, and an historic military installation. Specific features of Camp Hero are magnificent pristine maritime forests, freshwater wetlands, spectacular ocean vistas and dramatic bluffs rising from the beach.
Montauk Music Festival
As luck would have it, we'll have the opportunity to enjoy live music throughout the weekend with the Montauk Music Festival in full swing, creating the perfect addition to our wedding celebrations! The Montauk Music Festival is a volunteer-run, grassroots 4 day live music event designed to celebrate, support, and promote the thriving Montauk music scene while showcasing and stimulating the burgeoning artistic, commercial and pedestrian activity in Montauk.
Montauk Downs Golf Course
Hit the links at Montauk State Downs! This is also where we will be hosting our reception on Sunday evening. In addition, this public course has six championship tennis courts, a swimming pool and a cozy clubhouse for breakfast and lunch.

Ditch Plains Surfing
In Montauk, Ditch Plains Beach is a surf mecca. It’s a sandy beach with cliffside views and some of the best waves Long Island can offer. Typically, Long Island has bigger waves the farther east one goes, and with Montauk being the farthest point east on this piece of glacial residue, Ditch Plains is often praised as one of the best surf destinations on the East Coast.
Hither Hills State Park
Check out Hither Hills State Park, which has 10+ miles of trails offering stunning water views from beaches and bluffs. Its trails and sandy paths pass through woodland made of olive, oak, shad and pine trees. A highlight at Hither Hills State Park are the Walking Dunes, where a short trail opens up into a vast expanse of sand dunes reaching up to 80 feet tall.
Fishing & Boat Charters
Montauk is New York's largest commercial harbor, it is the home port for some of the greatest sport fishing on the east coast. Fish offshore for some tuna, marlin, mahi mahi and shark! There are also a bunch of charter boats available for half day for full day trips to suit your fishing needs.
