As I begin this new chapter of my life, having her by my side symbolizes the deep friendship and love we share. Since she is my sister, I've known Melanie my entire life, and I can’t imagine anyone else standing with me on my wedding day. Our bond is so special that we've often found ourselves dressed alike, prompting many to mistake us for twins, despite our two-year age gap.

Given that this is the person who has stood by me through absolutely everything, how could he not be my best man? Whether it was during the weekends or summer, he was either at my house gaming or I was at his place enjoying the hot tub. He's been there for all the ups and downs, and there's no one else I'd rather have by my side on this special day.

Alexis first met Erin when she joined Omega Phi Alpha at Texas State. Erin became her big sister and took her under her wing. The two complemented each other perfectly, with Erin's outgoing personality balancing Alexis's more shy and bubbly nature. Although they don’t live nearby, they make an effort to stay in touch as much as possible. One memorable night, Alexis stayed over at Erin’s apartment and the next morning, Erin accidentally threw out Alexis's keys, mistaking them for her own. This unforeseen mishap led to an unexpected trip to the nearest Ford dealership. The service guy there cheerfully informed them, “This happens all the time!”

My groomsman is my favorite cousin. We've experienced so much together, but nothing quite matches that one night we stayed up watching all the Harry Potter movies back-to-back, with only a few quick breaks. And I can’t forget the countless hours we spent playing Gears of War until dawn. Even though we don’t talk every day, when we do reconnect, it feels as if no time has passed at all. Having him by my side on my special day means everything to me. His steadfast friendship and support make him the ideal person to stand with me.

Maddy and Alexis became friends thanks to their fiancés. Although they lived in different states, they maintained a strong connection. The guys would frequently call each other to catch up or see if they could jump on Xbox for some gaming. While they played, Maddy and I would chat and catch up as well. Eventually, Maddy made the long drive from Ohio to Texas for her first visit. While she wasn't a fan of the Texas heat, she did enjoy indulging in Whataburger during her stay. The visit came to a close all too soon, and she headed back home. Despite the distance, we ensured we stayed in touch, with our Snapchat streak being one of the most consistent ways to connect.

Our friendship began back in 6th grade gym class, and we've been inseparable ever since. Countless late-night gaming marathons and laughter have marked our years together, with him living just behind me making it easy to spend time together. As I stand at the altar, ready to say "I do," I couldn't imagine anyone else by my side but my best friend, my partner-in-crime. He's the one who has been there through thick and thin, making me laugh when I needed it the most. Having him as one of my groomsmen means the world to me, as he's not just a friend but a brother from another mother.

Our friendship blossomed not only through our shared professional goals but also from the spontaneous outings we experienced beyond the workplace. One of our favorite pastimes was to call each other up and invite one another to the happy hour at 54th from 9 PM until closing time. Those nights were filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and venting about our hectic days at the clinic. While we may not see each other daily, we make an effort to stay connected as much as we can. Even if it’s just exchanging Facebook memes that remind us of the colleague we once worked with.

Introducing our groomsman, a steadfast companion both on and off the field. Our bond was forged back in high school when I persuaded him to join the football team, and since then, we have been inseparable. Through all of life's challenges, he has been a loyal presence by my side, always willing to help. Fast forward to today, he is not only a friend but a cherished member of our family, even gifting me with a nephew who shares his every quality. From celebrating victories on the field to standing by me on my special day, I am grateful to have him as my trusted ally. Rebecca took the opportunity to invite Alexis out for coffee at a nearby café. With their drinks in hand, they strolled through the local shops. Rebecca picked up a new shirt, while Alexis treated herself to two new purses.
