Jordan and I truly believe God had His hand in our story from the very beginning — even through a dating app. Facebook Dating is supposed to stay within a 100-mile radius, but somehow it matched me with a guy who lived over 800 miles away in a completely different state. We like to say that was God’s way of reminding us that His plans don’t follow algorithms or limits. Jordan made the first move, and it definitely caught my attention. He noticed I was a phlebotomist with tattoos and opened with a pickup line about having an “obsession with needles.” It was cheesy, unexpected, and different from anything else I’d seen — so of course, I messaged him back. Because of the distance, we didn’t have a traditional first date. Instead, our dates were long FaceTime calls filled with laughter, late nights, and real conversations that helped us grow closer and build our foundation on faith, friendship, and love. Somewhere along the way, we realized God was writing a much bigger story than we ever could have planned ourselves. In November, Jordan brought me to the MSU 4-H Gardens. Between beautiful burning bushes, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was one of the best days of my life — and the easiest “yes” I’ve ever said. From a divine “glitch” in an app to a lifetime together, we’re so grateful for God’s guidance in bringing us to each other and so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. 🤍
