Great coffee on main street Florence near the Florence welcome mural.
Their seasonal cardamom cold brew or the shaken-not-stirred espresso *must* be experienced. Sit on the patio or walk into town among the red poppies. Fun Fact: Georgetown is known for the red poppy this time of year - the city is covered in them! They even have a Poppy Festival in April.
Fun fact: a few months out of the year Austin houses millions of bats until the babies are mature enough to fly to Mexico. While here, they nestle under the bridges, and at sundown, they fly to the trees to feed and explore. It is such a cool thing to witness millions of bats vacating the bridge and flying overhead. You can find seating all along the river bank and bridge to witness the 20 minutes of chaos and beauty.
If you have some time to stretch your legs, we highly recommend Berry Springs Park. The 2.5-mile hike is gorgeous and has plenty of space to explore. May is still wildflower season so enjoy the drive!
Thursdays from 10 am - 2 pm kill some time before the big event and explore Georgetown's farmers market located at the Public Library!
