We met back in 2009 without realizing that one day we would be getting married. To keep it short and sweet- we were never supposed to fall for each other but somehow after 10 tequilas, we found true love.
Traveling together has always been our favorite thing to do. We have made the best memories cycling in Amsterdam, running after our tour bus at the Eiffel Tower and literally just getting lost everywhere. Our number one bucket list destination has always been Venice. When Jono won a work trip to Malta we were able to join the two trips together. We chose to stay in a quirky little apartment next to a Venetian floating library. Months before I had found a beautiful picture from a bridge looking in through the apartment window and set it as my desktop background. Jono had planned to propose in Venice and was just waiting for the perfect moment. He was waiting for the moment with the best view as well as having privacy from the MANY tourists. His first option was at the top of the St Giorgio Maggiore Bell Tower (which had ironically closed that week for an exhibition), the second was from the dock overlooking the Grand Canal (that moment was ruined by a couple breaking up right next to us) and then he finally proposed on the little bridge that had been the desktop background all along.
