James (Deuce) Robinson Jr was a star athlete born and raised in Blythewood, SC. Kirsten Green was a competitive dancer raised in Summerville, SC. They were both loved and raised by great families, who supported them all throughout their childhood. After high school, James made his way to Appalachian State University, while Kirsten made USC her home in Columbia. After years of hard work and studying, they graduated from both universities and were proud of their journey thus far. Excited to start their future, it was fate that brought them together that fall night. Now one word should come to mind when you think of Columbia in the fall... FOOTBALL. It was no surprise that these two met while out one night, as most young adults do on a game day weekend. There were so many people, but somehow while walking out of the bar, Kirsten caught James’s eye. They briefly made eye contact and she smiled. He then hopped out of line and politely introduced himself to Kirsten and her friends. They talked for a bit, then decide to find a new spot to hangout. The group ended the night at Waffle House and parted ways in hopes to see each other again soon. Who would have known, that a quick glance and a smile was the start of their forever. After that night, James and Kirsten hung out every weekend and explored Columbia as they got to know each other. Trips, laughs, and memories led to an unbreakable bond that made them realize that they were going to be together forever. In the Spring of 2019, James decided to make it official by asking Kirsten to be his wife. James got down on one knee and made Kirsten feel like the princess she had always dreamed of. They have taken this time to really enjoy their engagement and plan a wedding of their dreams. They are both excited to celebrate their love for each other with all of you on January 23rd, 2021.
