Zac and I met freshman year of high school in science class. Because the seating charts were arranged by last names, Zac and I were always seated near each other throughout all four years. From the day we met, I knew the feelings were real. He won me over with his blue eyes and big smile. Throughout high school, we remained friends (but also flirted a lot). After graduation, we started hanging out more often, and I began to realize just how real my feelings were for him. We both didn’t know what to do with those feelings, so—like any other teenagers—we decided to stop talking (face palm). After years of stalking each other on social media, I decided to get his phone number and text him. I still remember the first message I sent: I said “Hey” (of course with an emoji, because that’s the millennial thing to do). He responded with “Who is this?” (even though he definitely knew it was me). I replied, “The woman of your dreams.” I still like to believe I am the woman of his dreams—because he is absolutely the man of mine. Once Zac and I started hanging out again, all of the feelings came flooding back. Thankfully, this time, neither of us ran from them. Zac has shown me what true love is and what it means to have a partner who supports, shows up, provides, communicates, and protects. He is a true blessing from God, and I wholeheartedly believe God handpicked him just for me. We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone. We are so excited to begin this new chapter in our lives surrounded by our closest family and friends.
