After months of trying to find a time that worked we finally settled on meeting up in New York City. A safe place to meet "a stranger" and a little bit of travel for both. We met up right outside the New York City Public Library by Bryant Park. We both had the same thing as we traveled in, a banana. Tom looked at me and asked if I wanted to share a gyro from the food truck just on the corner. A gyro! It was only the beginning but, we should have known then that we would be a match! We walked sharing the gyro, on a beautiful sunny day towards the Central Park Zoo. We explored every exhibit; the Bird House, the Red Pandas and Tom made some funny commentary on the monkees and the seal show. We walked all over Central Park, seeing monuments and discovering it's history and beginning our own. We went on to visit McSorley's, Reichenbach Hall, and finished the night off with watching the sunset and having drinks at the Top of the Strand. We met up again and again in New York City. We called it The Oyster as in, "the world is your Oyster"; filled with endless opportunities, adventures and love. We had found our pearl.
