Okay, so this might not be a Kansas City staple... BUT we're so glad that a Colorado staple moved to KC with us. We recommend the Franklin with mushroom gravy (Robert likes it with an egg; Sofi likes it with Nashville hot chicken)

Denver Biscuit Company - Kansas City

If you've never had Kansas City BBQ, you've got to check this place out! We both love the Z Man (though Robert prefers his on Texas Toast)

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que

This was one of Sofi's favorite places when she was younger! It's a great place to create and play, whether you're a kid or a kid at heart.
