Navigating to the address here will take you to the boardwalk and beach, but is also near downtown Spring Lake - a charming area with boutique shops and cafes. Spring Lake is an idyllic town out of time and worth a drive just to see the seaside houses (mansions) throughout!
If you've got some time to spare, take a stroll around the shops and restaurants in famous Asbury Park. A Yelp search will turn up some local eats and bars, and the beaches here are bustling. Asbury Park is home to the Stone Pony, an indy music venue where Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, and others got their start.
Located just down the road from the Marriott, the Jughandle Brewing Company is a great place to kick back and have a cold one!
Just a 10 minute drive from the Marriott and Hampton, Source Brewing shares its farmhouse location with Colts Neck Stillhouse, a craft spirits distillery. You can sit indoors or outside, and food is BYO!

With a little something for everyone, Robinson Alehouse is a good food option situated right on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Reservations are encouraged, and you can sit right on the beach with views of the ocean.
If you're looking for an elevated, but still accessible, food spot - Marina Grille is situated on the Shark River and has indoor/outdoor seating overlooking beautiful sailboats. Check out 9th Ave Pier on the same property for casual bites and live music out on the water itself!
Bar/Grille, on the ocean, with beach access, where you can bring food and alcohol onto the beach? Donovan's Reef has it all and Labor Day Weekend is going to be a party. There will be live music all day, every day, and an up-tempo vibe for anyone who wants to be a beach bum this weekend.
Any coaster junkies? Six Flags boasts the tallest rollercoaster in the world - and it's the fastest! - as well as the tallest drop ride, the fastest wooden coaster, and the list goes on. Have a day out at the amusement park or try Hurrican Harbor Waterpark next door!
A 10-15 minute drive will land you at a bustling, upscale oceanfront strip of shops and restaurants. With a boardwalk too, Pier Village is a nice day out.

There is a great night scene here, too, with Jenk's Pavilion hosting Labor Day concerts (live music all day every day) with a series of tiki bars all on the sandy beach. Look it up one night!

Navigate to near White St. and Broad St. in Red Bank for a very walkable waterfront downtown. With a pedestrian-only street full of streetside restaurants, shops, and boutiques, Red Bank is a charming downtown area. Or grab the train from Red Bank Station and head directly into NYC!
10 minutes from the Marriott and Hampton hotels is Delicious Orchards, a fruit tree orchard with seasonal pickings and a market with some of the best pies (Bobby's favorite is the apple), cookies (the walnut chocolate chip!), and cider donuts! Step into fall, grab a bag, and go pick some goodies!
