We met the very first week of college in English class in 2012. Of course, Morgan was being a distraction by squeaking his chair. I turned around to see who was making all of the noise. I asked him to please stop because it was really bothering me. The next week, he had moved himself right beside me and that’s where it all began. We started meeting in the library early before class to hang out. After a few weeks, he asked me out on our first date. And by October he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Morgan and I decided to take a short vacation for Memorial Day Weekend / my birthday. On my birthday, May 25th, we drove about eight hours from Huntington, WV to Tignall, GA. We stayed in a little cottage on Lake Storm Thurmond. After such a long drive, I was too tired to go to my birthday dinner. However, Morgan was not taking “no” for an answer. He told me, “Open your birthday presents and I know you will want to go!” He had two gift bags for me to open. In each bag I found an outfit, hand picked by Morgan himself for the occasion. I tried on a dress and it was a perfect fit. At the bottom of the bag, I found a pair of earrings and a pair of sandals. I was so excited that I forgot all about being too tired to go out and I started getting ready. As I was curling my hair, Morgan walked in and said, “I have another present for you.” He brought me pink nail polish. I was beyond impressed by all of the thought he had put into picking out every detail for my birthday dinner outfit. When I was finished getting ready, I told him that we should go down to the lake before it got dark so we could take some pictures together. I walked down to the end of the dock, and from behind me I heard Morgan say, “I have one more present for you, Taylor.” I turned around and saw him down on one knee and he said, “Will you make me the happiest man in the world?” And, of course, I said “YES!”
