We're Getting Married!

In 8th grade, Riley and Nicole went to a movie with several of their friends. They sat together and ended up talking to each other the entire movie. Toward the end of the film, Riley asked Nicole to officially date him. She happily said yes!

Each Christmas Eve, Nicole's family has a tradition of hiding a pickle ornament in the Christmas tree. Whoever finds the pickle ornament first gets to open a present early. On Christmas Eve 2018, Nicole found the pickle first (which, unknown to Nicole, was intentional). When she opened her prize, she found a sheet of paper that said "Will you marry me?". Behind her was Riley proposing to her with a beautiful ring in front of her family. She said yes before he could finish his sentence!

Riley and Nicole have recently moved to Plano, Texas with their loving dog Scooter. By the end of May, the two will have graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with highest honors. Shortly following the wedding, Riley will be starting his career as a software engineer at Capital One while Nicole will be beginning her PhD in cancer biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. They are looking forward to buying or building the house of their dreams in the coming years.
