MEGAN'S POV: We met officially (in person) on New Years Eve in December of 2021. My friends from college, Kelsey and Katie, had been scheming to get Scott and I together when he moved to Dallas that December. Scott and I had chatted on FaceTime for a support call earlier that year and when he moved here, we all went out to Pete's Piano Bar and began the start of a solid friendship! I was intrigued by his kindness, wisdom, and tall stature. I wanted to keep my heart guarded, it was so early.... SCOTT'S POV: We first met on a zoom call, set up by a friend, while I was living in Orlando. Though I only told a few people, I was immediately attracted to her. Later, I moved to Dallas, and planned some New Years Eve activities with some friends. Megan was roommates with one of these friends, and we all began spending time together as friends from then on.

MEGAN'S POV: After 6 long weeks of being friends, Scott asked me out! He and his roommates watched Pride & Prejudice at our house on Valentines Day and we sat close together on the couch. Once they all left, Scott came back to knock on the door with flowers and asked me on a date that weekend! My roommates and I were freaking out. SCOTT'S POV: After a few weeks of spending time together as friends, on Valentine's Day, I asked Megan out. On our second date, we decided that we knew that we both really liked each other and wanted to start dating exclusively.

MEGAN'S POV: We became official after date #2. After getting to know each other for about 8 months, Scott said "I love you" by the fire in his backyard and we talked about our dreams and desires for our lives. We decided to sign up for a premarital class that was happening in the next few months. SCOTT'S POV: We spent a lot of time together on dates, with friends, and doing other activities together. I got to know Megan in lots of different situations and scenarios, and slowly grew in my confidence that she would be the perfect woman for me. But it was when I went to a friend's wedding in Chattanooga, without Megan, that I realized how much I wanted her by my side, and that it didn't feel right that she wasn't with me, and I knew that I was in love with her. I told her after I returned from the trip.

MEGAN'S POV: Scott and I make many plans to hang out, but this one was different. He told me that he would propose after our premarital class, and after his work trip. Basically he gave me a three-week time frame, so I got my nails done after he returned, just in case. Scott was planning to pick me up to watch the sunrise by the lake before church on Sunday (March 26, 2023). Scott told me to wear my new dress for church. I had a few suspicions but didn't want to be too hopeful. We watched the sun rise and he read a sweet journal entry for me and then got down on his knee. I said Yes!!! SCOTT'S POV: I invited Megan to go watch the sunrise on a Sunday morning before church. I picked her up at 6:30, and we watched the sun rise over White Rock Lake. Once it was up, I read to her from a journal I had written, about my feelings and excitement for her and our relationship. Then I got down on one knee and proposed. She said yes! Engaged before 8am!
