Granted we sent a few in 2020, between hearing we got the green light from the city days before the birth of our daughter, we're doing our to manage with the time we have. We hope you'll still consider joining us October 15/16th in light of our informality!
Because you'll be able to partake in any or all options available once at the reception! We're also cognizant of our vegetarian and gluten free family and friends. Please note; children who require special meals or items to eat, please plan appropriately and bring with you.
March 2014 We actually were supposed to meet each other a month earlier than when we did! Chris and Ashley (unbeknownst to her) were going to be set up at a friend's super bowl party. However, due to Chicago weather, Ash didn't want to get stranded in a snowstorm and hung out with her Cooper instead :) Fast forward to March; they were both going to the same friend's annual St. Patty's Day Parade party in Forest Park. Her and Steph's tradition was to always bring a jar of Milwaukee Midget Dill Pickles. While enjoying their pickles, her friend host came up, and shared, 'there was a guy here I want you meet. He's perfect for you and is going to be your future husband. His name is Chris and here he is!' Quite an introduction! Now six years later, she was right. :)
January 2020 Chris graduated from the Chicago Fire Department Academy Monday, January 13. He and Ash got to spent the day celebrating with family and friends (while the ring was in his pocket the entire time!). He waited until our family (Cooper & Gurl) were all puddled on the couch at the end of the night, finally being able to wind down from the celebration and a love-filled day. Chris pulled an audible (given Ash wouldn't give up Coop as her pillow!) so he asked if he could hold her forever. Both dogs approved and Ash said yes!
