This lovely couple met during the summer of 2022 at a kickback that was hosted by Jose’s friend, Ryan. Whenever he and his wife, Marissa, had a kickback, you could count on Jose and Jessica to be there. But the funny thing was that they were never there at the same time and kept missing each other by a hair. Although on this day, fate was on their side and they were at the gathering at the same time. They were introduced and hence, the start of a friendship. For a while, the two only saw each other as such. From playing dominoes to karaoke nights, together they never had a dull moment. Slowly but shortly, Jessica’s feelings developed for Jose. She started to see him in a new light, which was aided by the numerous times her cousin hinted he was available. Everything changed on April 16th, 2023, after a night out with friends at a Jo Koy comedy show. Sparks began to fly that night between this duo and Jose realized his deep fondness for Jessica. But not wanting to risk their beautiful friendship, Jessica and Jose kept their feelings a secret from one another. After a constant back-and-forth, talking to friends and cousins, Jessica decided to ask Jose out on a date, and he was elated! On July 2nd, 2023, the two went for Chinese BBQ and games at the Round 1 Arcade. By the end of the night, it was obvious that this wasn't just an ordinary date. Cute dates turn to intentional courting, and their love grew more and more each passing month. Courting blossomed into a relationship. The only thing left to truly tie this couple together was one question… At midnight of May 5th, 2024, the two were taking a stroll at the LACMA Urban Arts after a Kat Williams comedy show. And it was that moment when Jose popped the question through joyous laughs and happy tears, “Will you do me the honor of…?
