Meet the Marcano’s

The day I said yes was almost like any other Christmas Eve we had in the past, what didn’t know was it would be the day I got to start using that fancy word “FIANCÉ” lol, waking up getting the house ready cooking cleaning and of course running late. This year we did Christmas Eve with both of our families at our home. Mainly because Eddie broke his ankle a few days prior playing basketball, he was rolling on two wheels and it was just easier for us to be home. We tried a new Christmas dinner menu we went for Italian style. I’ll always remember how satisfying the food was after my ring was on my finger. Everyone was arriving, and as usual I’m just getting done trying to get ready and I put in the towel I was over cooking and prepping, I threw my hair in a bun … opted for comfort with my new green jewel Jordan ones he just got me for Christmas and called it done. I walked out talked and mingled with our family, I noticed he invited one of his best friends Johnny over and one of my best friends Nicole. I wondered why they where with us on Christmas Eve as they normally would of been with their own families, but they are family to us too. My mother always wants big family photos when she has all the grand kids in the same place at the same time. So I started to get my phone out, grabbed my tripod to get ready for a family self timed Christmas photo and tried getting us all together, at that point while my back was turned trying to situate the kids for a picture behind me he kneeled (getting down on one knee with a broken ankle at that talk about dedication) waiting for me to turn around ………but I didn’t hahaha I tried moving the ottoman to get more room for our family photos … his Mom helped him stand back up and I never saw a thing lol false alarm. The next thing I know Desi (his sister) comes up to be and grabs my tripod out of my hand I was confused for a second like why did she just take that I’m trying to do somthing the look on my face said it all lol. I heard turn around and there he was on one knee smiling. I knew this was not a joke, but I asked “are you kidding me ? Your not joking right” lol . The response I heard brought me to tears and to both of my knees with him. “Will you be Mrs. Marcano Will you marry me”. Then I finally said yes !!!!!!! The rest of the night was just bliss after that, clapping began followed by hugs and tears of congratulations and laughter and love filled the air in my home. My mom got her family photo and he made sure we all had a memorable Christmas we as a family will never forget, For ever this is how I will always remember my best Christmas ever.
