The story of us started when mutual friends had the idea to set us up, and after texting for a few weeks, we decided to meet. It was a beautiful New England fall day in the middle of October on the Charles River; we walked and talked for hours, and both knew it was something special. Matt had been working in public accounting for a firm in downtown Boston, and Nicole was in her last year of dental school. Through our months in Boston, our love for each other started to grow. To shake things up, Nicole matched into a year-long residency program in Los Angeles and moved across the country. During this year of long-distance, Matt flew between coasts every few months, and our relationship grew even closer. We explored every corner of Southern California, completed many hikes, tried a ton of new restaurants, and looked forward to our nightly facetime calls in between visits. As Matt was starting his journey of opening his own CPA firm, Nicole moved back to Boston to start her orthodontics residency. We continued to grow our relationship back in the city we met. Through this whirlwind of life changes, in late December in Nicole's hometown of Boca Raton, Matt got down on one knee and proposed, and Nicole said yes! We decided to have a short engagement and got married on a sunny day in early August. We had a beautiful ceremony at Spanish River Church followed by a dinner celebration with our families. We had the best day celebrating our commitment to each other with our loved ones. To complete our wedding festivities, we are excited to have a one-year anniversary marriage celebration, vow renewal, and reception with our favorite people.
