We’re getting married!!

It all started at RA Sushi, where Katie was bartending and Alex was grabbing drinks with friends. After her shift, a casual conversation turned into an impromptu night out and we wandered over to a close by bar, the Rooster. Over the next few weeks, we hung out here and there. December was a blur of laughs, late nights, and growing curiosity about where this could go. We rang in the New Year together, but soon after, Alex had to return to France to finish his Roller Hockey season overseas. Before he left, Katie gave Alex a birthday/going-away basket filled with travels essentials. What do you put in a basket for someone you barely know? Beef jerky of course. Looking back this silly gesture was a pivotal moment for both of us individually and helped establish how we truly feel about each other. Even with thousands of miles between them, something felt different. We texted, called, and FaceTimed almost daily. What started as a holiday-season fling quickly turned into something real. Alex came back to Arizona for a couple weeks and we officially started dating on February 12th, 2023. We soaked up every second of his time home, but were ultimately faced with another goodbye. But instead of waiting 10 weeks for Alex to return, Katie decided to visit….for three weeks…in a foreign country. Alex was late picking her up from the airport (he still insists he wasn’t), but those three weeks turned into one of the most defining parts of our story. We explored Paris, adventured to Helsinki, and wandered the streets of Épernay, and really just fell in love. The rest, as they say, is history. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
