It was the summer of 2012 where, by a chance encounter, Brian and Lindsey would find themselves sitting next to each other at a popular bar in Rochester, NY. Unbeknownst to Brian and Lindsey, they had mutual friends and later, those friends would play a pivotal role in their story. For now, Lindsey and Brian sat next to each other as complete strangers. Brian spent the afternoon brooding in his chair, nursing last night's hangover. While Lindsey, who was supposed to be the waitress for the table, pulled up a chair and talked the table into submission. Never exchanging more than a few words, they operated as strangers still, but Lindsey left a lasting impression with Brian, as “Chatty Patty." A few years would go by, and like ships passing in the night, their travels would take them eerily close but never quite align. That is, until October of 2015, when again by a chance encounter, Brian and Lindsey would find themselves sitting next to each other, but this time in Hermosa Beach, Ca. It was a Monday, the Giants were playing, and for the 4 hours of game time, Brian and Lindsey remained strangers. With the game over, and their attention finally on one another, it didn't take long for sparks to fly. Brian found himself quickly attracted to Lindsey’s kindness, smile and willingness to join-in on a funny bit. While Brian won Lindsey over with his quick wit, goofy sense of humor and charm. It wasn’t so much love at first sight, as it was love at first laugh. The next day, Brian left Hermosa Beach asking their mutual friend for Lindsey's number. A month later, Lindsey made the trip to San Diego. A couple of months after that, Brian and Lindsey made the long-distance relationship official. For 2 ½ years they would spend weekends exploring California together until San Diego became their permanent home. For two people who love to talk, it took traveling 3,000 miles for them to have a conversation and since then the conversation and the laughs haven’t stopped.
