We met at LA Fitness in Yorba Linda, CA when I started working at the front desk. Brandon was a member and a regular at the gym. For a few months it was just small talk and little conversations when he would come in. One Friday night (I worked evenings), he asked me to go to Downtown Fullerton for his friend's birthday when my shift was over, not knowing I was only 19 at the time. When I told him I wasn't 21 yet, he said "Oh, thats too bad" and left! Without even asking for my number! After that, he didn't come in to the gym for a month (I checked). When he finally did come back, he had said he had been busy with finals (we were both attending CSUF at the time). He ended up asking for my number that first day back, and thats how it started...
We had been living together for about 6 months at the time, and we had both recently lost our family dogs, Shaggy and Katie. After months of grieving, I was ready to get a dog again, but Brandon wasn't. Brandon surprised me on my birthday. He said he was ready now and that I could pick out whatever puppy I wanted. So, couple days later, I found an ad with Oliver's picture on it and immediately knew he was supposed to be ours. Another couple days go by and we brought him home. Now we absolutely could not picture our lives without him.
From 2017 to 2018, we moved 4 times! We've accepted job offers, relocated for each other and have landed in Irvine. It's been a fun ride, and we are happy with where life has taken us.
For my 24th birthday Brandon took me Temecula to go wine tasting, one of my favorite things to do! When we got to Wilson Creek Winery, we immediately went inside and got some wine tastings (Brandon wanted to calm his nerves, I'm sure). Once outside, we went to take a picture and Brandon got down on one knee and proposed. A little over a year and a half later and we are getting married!
