The way everyone meets nowadays. The good ole internet. And we both swiped right. #thankyoutinder
It all started with a swipe and a simple Tinder bio. Alyssa had written that she “liked craft beer,” which instantly caught Casey’s attention. With that in mind, Casey decided their first date should be at a cozy local craft beer bar. The ambiance was just right, with dim lights, the scent of hops in the air, and great conversations flowing as smoothly as the drinks. As the night unfolded, Alyssa found herself enjoying Casey’s company more than she expected. The laughter, the easy conversation, and, of course, the mutual love for good beer created a spark. But just as Casey thought the night might be winding down, Alyssa had other plans. She wasn’t ready to say goodbye. With a mischievous smile, she said, “How about we hit up some of Murrieta’s finest dive bars?” From craft brews to coors lights, the night turned into an unforgettable adventure. They wandered through the town, hopping from bar to bar, sharing stories, learning about each other, and bonding over everything from terrible jukebox music to one of Alyssas' old coworkers who thought Casey was the most interesting man alive. That spontaneous, unplanned adventure showed them both that life’s best moments are the ones you don’t see coming. It was the start of something special, something real, and they’ve been creating their own adventures together ever since.
So Casey had been saving up some hidden money for a special reason. When he was finally ready to spend that money he began looking up engagement rings. Little did he know that for the next 2 months he would be looking at hundreds of different rings to find the right one. Even going as far to text her best friends to figure out which ring would work best. Once the ring was finally in his hand, he decided it was time to ask her father and mother for the blessing. He gave Scott a call and asked if he could stop by to ask him something. So Casey goes over and sits down with them. Unbeknownst to Scott, he was going to ask for his daughters hand. Luckily Karen figured it out almost immediately. If you know Casey, he's very short with words and to the point. He asks Scott for his daughters hand in marriage. Probably one of the most nerve wrenching things he has done to date. Scott and Karen gave him their blessing and it was now time to form a plan. They had a Seattle trip planned in the coming weeks and that was where Casey wanted to propose. But specifically at the Space Needle where years early Scott and Karen had been married. He knew this place was special to Alyssa and formed a plan with Scott, Karen and her younger brother Aaron. They came up with a simple reason to go to the Space Needle and headed up to the top. After wandering around up top and trying to find the perfect time it finally came. We started taking pictures and Casey told Alyssa to stand looking out at the city. After a very short moment Alyssa turns around asking "why am i alone?" to see Casey down on one knee, ring in hand, nervous shake in his voice, asking " Alyssa, Will you marry me?" Now you would expect an answer like yes or no to come out first, but instead she says "really, did you guys know?" as she looks at her family. She would eventually say yes after what seemed to Casey like an eternity.
